Anfield Stadium was the host for this year’s Recofloor awards where we’d entered two categories. Drop-Off Site User of the Year and Project of the Year.
Last year we managed to scoop both awards so this time around we set our goal on at least retaining one of them. To our delight we picked up the Project of the Year award for the second time giving us back to back trophies!
These awards are great for maintaining focus, motivation and perseverance in the constant task of waste management. They act as a reminder of what can be achieved if you choose to manage and implement a few simple processes.
It was another exceptional day out learning the importance of waste recycling, the impacts it can have and advantages to be gained from it, both environmentally and financially.
The legend Kevin Keegan was on hand to tell some interesting tales throughout the day. It was a real pleasure to meet an icon of the beautiful game and share some small talk.
Throughout 2017 we managed to recycle over ten tons of waste vinyl and we are on target to at least match that feat this year. That’s a vast amount of waste saved from landfill that can be put to good use elsewhere.
We are proud to be an active member of Recofloor and hope to further cement our place as a prominent figure in vinyl waste recycling.
